¶ Lab 3: Simple Harmonic Motion
¶ Materials
- ¾” Rod with Table Clamp
- Mass Set: (2x100g, 1x100g, 1x50g)
- Meter Stick
- Right Angle Hand Clamp for Meter Stick
- Spring Assembly
- Mass Hanger
- Stopwatch
- Cheat Bar

¶ Instructions
- Mount the ¾” rod roughly in the center of the lab table and always use the cheat bar to tighten the table clamp.

2. Attach the right angle arm clamp (the one that will hold the meter stick at a small angle to the table).
3. Insert the meter stick inside the hand part of the clamp. If the clamp angle was not set right, the meter stick will touch the table, so adjust accordingly.
4. Attach the spring and the attached clamp so that the spring and the meter stick are aligned at some non-awkward angle. The meter stick and spring shouldn't be touching but should be close.
