- When keeping multiple stopwatches together, it is highly recommended that you bundle them together with a loose knot. Failure to do so can result in a very massive tangle that will take WAY too much of your time to undo.
- For labs that use stopwatches include 2-3 extra available to the TA’s just in case one breaks or the batteries die.
¶ Maintence
- These stopwatches use SR44-W coin cell batteries. These are expensive and hard to find. I would recommend going with AG13/LR44 batteries instead.
- These tend to break often and you can frankenstein multiple together to get a working unit. I would recommend keeping broken ones around somewhere.
- The tabs shown using red arrows in the pictures below are very delicate, so you should be careful when replacing the batteries. If the tabs are damaged, the battery cover cannot hold the battery in the stopwatch. And we should take the stopwatch out of circulation.

- If the battery is replaced and the stopwatch still does not work, you may need to use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the spring in the back of the stopwatch out slightly. Be careful not to pull it completely out! You just want to “pop” the end of the spring out a little so it pushes against the battery. The spring can be seen in the picture above (blue arrow).
