2. The wires of the LED light should be inserted into the hole on the top of the container and then soldered to the protoboard. The casing around the LED light prevents it from fitting through the hole in the container, so the wires have to be inserted first and then the LED light can be pushed into position.
3. Insert the wires from the two ends of ground and the first and second diodes into the banana connectors and solder them together. It is helpful to wrap the wires around the banana connectors, so that if the solder fails there is still a mechanical force holding the wire to the connector. Place the bottom on and screw it together.
4. The LED should light up when correctly connected to a power supply.
